My experience at the school was very positive, everyone was so nice and friendly. I made a lot of friends and also learned a lot of Portuguese! It's such a beautiful language. Regarding the city, Lisbon is an incredible place in which people always do something! There are many different things to do every day, you'll never get bored of it. Can´t wait to come back!

Studying with Portuguese Connection was a wonderful experience. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the my teacher was really very good at getting us to communicate in class. I also took the painting course offered by Portuguese Connection and was very happy with the tuition I received and with having the opportunity to see and draw different parts of Lisbon. Studying as part of my holiday allowed an intimacy with Lisbon that I would never have been able to have if I had simply arrived as a tourist.

The main reason why I decided to go to Lisbon and learn Portugues was my Double Degree Program in Brazil. I was aware that the Portuguese in Portugal and Brazil is quite different. So one of my focus was on understanding the difference between brazilian and portuguese Portuguse. Even though the teachers I met were from Portugal they always mentioned it if there was any difference between those two languages. Other amazing reasons why I would choose Portuguese Connection are: the class rooms are small l (Between 2 and 5 people), efficient learning (4h/day), perfect mix between grammer, reading, listening, writing and speaking and of course the nice people there. Teachers are always there to help, even in the break. I mostly had a drink near by with the teacher and spoke portuguese during the whole break. Great exercise to improve your speaking!

Portuguese Connection is fabulous - excellent teachers, great learning environment, centrally located, efficiently run and fun! I really enjoyed my two week course and wish I'd had booked to stay longer as I didn't want to leave :) Parabens e muito obrigada a equipe do Portuguese Connection !

After moving to Lisbon, I knew I would need help to learn Portuguese. I am so happy that I have begun lessons with The Portuguese Connection. The entire staff are so friendly and welcoming. My teacher Carla is wonderful! She is patient, and made me feel comfortable asking when I wasn't sure about something. One evening, Annalisa took us across town to see a short play, part of the Teatro das Compras, one of the many artistic events that happen during the Festas de Lisboa in June. The Portuguese Connection is passionate about helping you to learn the language, but also, in connecting you to the Portuguese culture. I am looking forward to the lessons I'm taking in the next few weeks!

This is a wonderful and lovely language school and I had such a cool experience there. All the teachers are super friendly snd competent, the owners Joana and Marco are the best ever - such a cool, young, professional couple :-O, AND I really learned a lot during my two courses and am looking forward to maybe doing a third one since I am living in Lisbon :) Muitos beijinhos a todos :-*

I was so lucky to discover Portuguese Connection! Within 24hrs of my phone call (from Evora) l was enjoying private lessons with the wonderful teacher Ana. Nothing was too hard for Annalisa to arrange - even though l had no email at the time. Ana made me feel so relaxed that l could absorb and learn - l felt l really made progress in the week l had with her - l didn´t want to leave. Attending the school was a highlight of my two month cycle ride through the country. I loved Lisbon and would go back to Principe Real - it became my favourite area.

Normaly i don't like schools - even when I'm willing to learn, but the 4 weeks I had an language course at Portuguese Connection where just great! I enjoyed the time so much and I think I learned a lot as well! The teachers and the whole team are nice and funny! Thank you for this experience. Gostava muito e muito obrigada! <3

My husband and I have just spend the most wonderful learning experience at Portuguese connection language school. We both did five mornings of Portuguese language and in the afternoons I did a painting course and my husband did wine-tasting. The teachers were such fun and even my reticent husband thoroughly enjoyed the language part,so if he can do it ,everyone can. We both love our afternoon courses. My teacher Paula gave me so much more time than she needed to and we saw exhibitions, painted a Portuguese tile and did watercolour en plein air. We became good friends and even shared a few meals. Greg's group were great fun and they learned a lot about wine and also had a day trip to a vineyard. Greg and I stayed in the Caso do Principe hotel in the same building. Not only was it a bijou hotel, but we were in our classrooms five minutes after breakfast. Being in the centre of Lisbon allowed us to experience the culture of this fabulous city.
