I really enjoyed going to Portuguese Connection Language School for four weeks. I was part of the B2 student group and had great teachers who really helped me improve my language skills through speaking, grammar and also interesting sidenotes about the Portuguese culture and history. The location of the school is amazing, the teachers are very kind, and the course material is well developed for every student's level. It was overall a perfect experience, which I would recommend to everybody.

I attended the 2 week summer course in August 2025 and it was an amazing experience! I learned a lot and I liked the combination of intensive language lessons and the variety of cultural activities. The teachers and all employees were very nice and helpful and also organized everything for the activities and for a comfortable welcome in Lisbon. I enjoyed my stay and also made new friends. I studied at the school for two weeks as preparation for the DAPLE (level C1) exam, held in early May 2025. I had two very good teachers, each with their own particular style of teaching, Eduardo and Rodrigo. I learnt a lot during the two weeks, and not just about language, but also about Portuguese life and culture. Both teachers were professional, well-prepared and organized and the classes were very stimulating and interesting as well as focused on preparing me for the exam. I achieved a very good result in the DAPLE for which I owe a debt of gratitude to the School and its great teachers!

I had 2 hours of individual instruction on just 6 days. The instruction, which was exclusively in Portuguese, was excellent. All promises were kept. I can only warmly recommend this language school. The friendliness of all the staff was also outstanding. I will use this language school again on my next stay in Lisbon. Rudolf Helfrich

I wholeheartedly recommend the Portuguese Connection school within Lisbon. I had the pleasure of attending their Group Classes as well as individual lessons over 3 weeks in preparation for the Daple exam. The school and teachers went above and beyond in understanding my learning goals and needs, helping me to understand the level of effort that would be required from my side and continuously giving me support and encouraging me day by day, not allowing me to give up hope. I was happy to receive my lessons in Portuguese. The lessons were well planned and presented in a way that I could understand and yet feel challenged to want to do better. The high-level knowledge and dedication of our tutors is so impressive, the level of tuition completely superseded my expectations and till this day I cannot stop sharing with my family, friends and colleagues about how privileged and Blessed I felt to have been a student at what I believe is one of the best learning centres I have ever attended. The 3-week Portuguese intensive learning course has motivated me to continue learning with enthusiasm. It is definitely within my plans to return and continue as a student at the Portuguese Connection school. A special and heartfelt thank you to my Portuguese teachers Diana, Rafael and Eduardo, Rita, and the directors Joana and Marco. All went above and beyond in encouraging and guiding me to learn Portuguese and to prepare for the advanced level exams. Je m’appelle Pascal, je suis français et je suis venu apprendre le portugais pendant six semaines et je suis très satisfait de mes cours. J’en ressors motivé pour aller plus loin dans l’apprentissage de la langue .Les professeurs sont très bons et disponibles, je n’oublie pas non plus le secrétariat qui fait un très bon travail aussi . La diversité des élèves permet de se faire de nouveaux amis. L’ambiance de l’école est très bonne, les sortie concernant les musées sont bien organisées ce qui permet de découvrir Lisbonne en même temps. Je recommande vivement cette école pour apprendre la langue Portugaise.

During my Portuguese Connection course, I had an amazing experience, and I take pride in my decision to embark on this journey and successfully complete it. I was not new to the portuguese language, nevertheless I gained valuable insights and refined my language skills with the guidance of highly skilled tutors. I'm sincerely grateful to the administrator Rita, and both of my tutors Diana and Eduardo for their unwavering attention, professionalism, and willingness to support me during my 6 weeks of learning. The course was meticulously organized and progressively engaging. I especially enjoyed interacting with my tutors and the other students from all over the world. This period in my life was truly enriching, I will definately plan to come back in the near future to keep improvig my knowledge on the Portuguese language. The Team at Portuguese Connection have been so wonderful. From pre-arrival to the classes themselves, everything has run smoothly thanks to the team. A special thank you goes to Laís who was our teacher for Brazilian Portuguese who was so supportive, she truly encouraged us to keep practicing and pushing ourselves to further our language acquisition (despite not being in Brasil, we really felt like our Brazilian Portuguese improved). The school is small but by no means does this reflect the quality of teaching. I look forward to returning in the future!

We have been taking Portuguese lessons with the Portuguese Connection for over five years. We started with nearly no Portuguese and last year passed the CIPLE exam (we only take lessons for 1 hour per week, but passed on our first attempt). We absolutely adore our teacher who we both think may be the best teacher we’ve had for anything anywhere. We strongly recommend Portuguese Connection!

This is the best language school I ever attended! I cannot recommend Portuguese connection enough to anyone from total beginner level to higher advanced level. I went all way from level A1 to B2 and can’t wait to continue with the classes after my summer break. The teachers are very competent and highly motivated. From the back office to the manager, everyone in this organization is super professional, friendly and helpful. The location of the school is as well outstanding. Principe Real is one of the best areas in Lisbon.
