Parque Eduardo VII

Can you imagine a 26 hectare park with gardens and lakes right in the center of Lisbon? Surrounded by hotels, banks and shops yet surprisingly calm and quiet? Yes, I’m talking about Edward VII Park. It is located on the extreme north side of Liberty Avenue, right behind the Pombal Marquis Square (Praça Marquês de Pombal), and was originally called Liberty Park. The perfect place to rest, to have a picnic, to enjoy a sunny afternoon, or to take some unforgettable photos. From this elevated location you can actually see the Tagus river and a different perspective of the city. It´s a fantastic sightseeing spot.

But what is really interesting about this park and which most tourists don't know about is the Cold Greenhouse ("Estufa fria" in Portuguese)! Created in 1933, this is a truly magical wonderland where you will find a magnificent collection of plants from all over the world. This place is a must-see!
